The garden is a collection of rare cold hardy plants. Old World Rose's ... Hardy Bitter Orange trees from China... Blue Bean Shrubs ( pods contain a gelatanous mucous surrounding beans used in Asian Soups) ... a young Monkey tree from the Andes ( originating in the Western Hemisphere from 7 seeds , smuggled out in the hollow cane of a British diplomat). ...plus many winding paths and ascending steps to wander through this mountain top preserve.  Tours with the original garden designer at 11am and 1pm. Orange and lemon trees, and other plants for sale.

“Doug’s Cabin” [lower half of Clegg Family Farm] Come explore this track through the second growth forest that leads to the first home here built by Doug May in 1969. Banks of ferns dotted with Trilliums, a large variety of birds, towering cedars, squirrels and other wild residents. Watch for the hollow stump (only the smallest children would fit inside). As you reach the cabin the forest opens to a glen where like most of Ryder Lake you often see deer. Check out the forest trails at the bottom of the glen. Maps available
